Service: Migration from Oracle Cloud to Google Cloud Platform
Mozn, a pioneer in AI-driven fraud prevention, faced a pivotal moment in 2024. After a landmark agreement with Google Cloud to list its Focal App on the GCP Marketplace, they had just 90 days to migrate from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) while meeting strict technical and compliance requirements.
The challenge wasn’t just about meeting a deadline, it was about positioning the company for future growth on a global scale.
This migration had to be flawless, with zero downtime, as Mozn’s platform was crucial for preventing fraud in real-time. The company also needed to ensure it could continue to comply with local regulations while gaining access to global customers. The stakes were high, as a successful migration would unlock new sales opportunities and accelerate Mozn’s expansion.
Key Hurdles:
“We needed a partner who understood both our technology and the stakes,” said Mozn’s CTO.
CloudFlow was entrusted to handle the migration seamlessly, meeting both technical and compliance requirements.
CloudFlow orchestrated a comprehensive migration strategy, addressing the complex technical and regulatory challenges Mozn faced. The team started by completely redesigning the architecture of the Focal app, using GCP’s AI Platform and BigQuery to rebuild its microservices. This allowed the platform to meet Saudi data sovereignty requirements through region-specific data pipelines.
The migration itself was executed without any downtime. CloudFlow set up parallel environments and routed real-time traffic, ensuring that the platform remained fully operational throughout the process. Perhaps one of the most impressive achievements was CloudFlow’s ability to automate the deployment and achieve GCP’s security review in just 14 days. As a result, Mozn was able to list its application on the GCP Marketplace within 60 days, unlocking access to over 200K+ global enterprises.
Mozn achieved 100% uptime during the migration process, safeguarding over $1M in daily transactions. The company was able to list Focal on the GCP Marketplace ahead of schedule within 60 days, gaining access to a global customer base. Furthermore, the use of GCP’s TPUs (Tensor Processing Units) resulted in a 40% faster AI inference, improving the real-time fraud scoring capabilities of the Focal app.
“Cloudflow future-proofed us. Their expertise in Saudi compliance and global cloud ecosystems was unmatched.” — Chief Technology Officer, Mozn
