Senior Network Engineer (Remote – Full Time)

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
Configure and manage Fortinet security solutions including FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Implement network security policies and access controls
Manage VPN connections, SD-WAN deployments, and network segmentation
Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability management
Create and maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
Participate in on-call rotation for network-related incidents
Maintain awareness of industry best practices for network security and infrastructure
Adhere to policies, guidelines, and procedures about the protection of information assets
Report actual or suspected security and/or policy violations/breaches to an appropriate authority

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
At least 5 years of previous experience in network engineering or related field
Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies
Experience with cloud networking in GCP and OCI environments
Knowledge of cloud-native networking services including VPC design, interconnects, and hybrid connectivity
Able to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently and independently
Can communicate effectively across teams and management levels
Experience with network automation and scripting

Switching & Routing: VLANs, STP, LACP, Static/Dynamic Routing
Wireless: Enterprise WiFi, 802.11ax, controller-based architectures
Network Monitoring: SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, Packet Analysis
Scripting Languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell for network automation
Cloud Networking: VPC, Transit Gateway, Cloud VPN (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Load Balancing: F5, HAProxy, Application Delivery Controllers
Network Security: Zero Trust Architecture, microsegmentation, NAC
